At Van-Go, we believe art is not about creating a perfect or identical product. Art is a process of discovery, self-expression, and connection. Our teaching style is rooted in open-ended, process-based learning, where exploration is valued over outcome. We partner with your school or organization to develop a meaningful, intentional experience for your special group.
We currently offer one-time specialty workshops, multi-class series, and Schools Out camps. We are working on becoming an approved vendor for New York State public schools.
Check out our events page for upcoming workshops, classes, and camps!
Van-Go instructors act as facilitators and guides. We support children as they experiment with materials, explore their senses, and find their own creative voice. Teachers offer invitations to create rather than directions to follow. There is no single “right way” to make art, and no expectation that every piece will look the same. Innovation is welcome, and deviation is natural.
Our workshops, classes, and camps are designed to be inclusive, flexible, and responsive to the needs of young children. Participation is always invitational. Children are welcome to observe, take breaks, modify materials, or engage in alternative ways. Instructors offer choices whenever possible and avoid forcing participation, labeling emotions as “good” or “bad,” or correcting children’s artistic decisions. Sensory alternatives (hands instead of tools, dry materials instead of wet, quiet spaces for rest) are always acceptable
Art, Play, and Big Feelings: Experience a work of color, texture, and imagination to explore feelings through sensory art and play. Each session encourages children to understand big emotions in healthy, creative ways using paint, clay, collage, and more bringing their inner world to life! Together we will: discover how art can help kids express their emotions, build confidence and self-awareness, explore color, texture, and creative materials, and practice teamwork and collaboration all while having fun!
Art of Science: Get ready to mix, splash, and experiment! In this hands-on art and science lab, kids will explore color, texture, and motion through creative experiments that spark curiosity and imagination. From fizzy paint reactions to gooey clay creations, every project celebrates the joy of discovery and the beauity in art making while building problem-solving and criticial thinking skills (all while having lots of fun!)

While having fun is #1, there is more to Van-Go that sets us apart.
We’re not just filling time. We’re creating meaningful, developmental rich experiences that leave a lasting impact.
Founded by public service professionals, Van-Go brings thoughtful, mobile art and sensory experiences directly to families and communities. We believe art is for all, so pop up and meet kids wherever they are.
Our classes and camps are infused with purpose, emphasizing self-expression, confidence, and social-emotional learning.
Our studio travels to where kids already are, eliminating barriers to participation and supporting engagement in every setting.
Here are the questions we get asked on a regular basis about our work with school programs, workshops and camps, and our answers!
We offer a wide range of in-school and after-school art programs, from single-session workshops to recurring multi-week series. We also host School’s Out Camps during holiday breaks, parent-teacher conferences, and staff development days.
Yes! Our projects are designed to be flexible, sensory-friendly, and adaptable for different learning styles and abilities. We can modify materials, pacing, and instruction to ensure every child feels supported, successful, and included.
We typically accommodate groups of up to 30 students at a time, but we’re always happy to discuss options for larger groups and find a setup that works for your school or event.
Van-Go provides all art materials for our programs, so there’s no need for the school to supply anything. However, if your school prefers to use its own materials or has specific items you’d like incorporated, we’re happy to be flexible and work with what you have.
Yes! We are happy to schedule a free demo workshop ahead of a series proposal for a select group (this would not apply to an assembly) so you can experience our programming firsthand.
Most of our programs are designed for toddlers through elementary-aged children, but we also offer workshops for adults and intergenerational groups.

When you trust Van-Go with your party or other event, we make sure all participants have had the opportunity to create, build, and connect!
“Van-Go helped us celebrate my daughter’s fifth birthday and she and her friends had an awesome time. Kelly and her two assistants were so engaging with the kids, they handled set-up and clean-up, and led fun activities. My daughter can’t wait to for another party with Van-Go.”
“Working with the team behind the sensory art and play classes has been an absolute joy! Their organization is top-notch, and it’s clear how much care and intention goes into creating each class.
Most importantly, everything they do is FUN! The sessions are full of creativity, color, and meaningful engagement for kids of all abilities. Now that they’ll be officially *on wheels*, it’s even more exciting — we’re able to reach more families and communities than ever before…”
“We had my son’s 3rd birthday at our house with Van-Go Wagon Co. and it was amazing! So much fun to see the kiddos dive right into the activities, and Rachel & Kelly were awesome to work with. They know EXACTLY what they’re doing when it comes to play, crafts, and entertainment for kids of all ages and it shows. Planning with them was fun and easy, and the van is so cool. A great statement piece!”
Van-Go Wagon Co. is pure magic. We’ve had two experiences with them now — one at a festival and another at an indoor storytime, art, and play event — and both were incredible…”
“The activities are beautifully designed, age-appropriate, and genuinely engaging. I also deeply love their mission to give back to the community by making play accessible to all families. My son was completely captivated by the art and play experiences and didn’t want to leave either time…”
“After attending Van Go Wagon Co’s holiday event this year, we couldn’t be more impressed! Kelly and Rachel were professional and welcoming. Our kids- of varying ages- were entertained with activities and given opportunities to create, pretend, and play. We also got to take pictures with a professional photographer that we can treasure for a lifetime! We can’t wait to participate in more events with such a fun, professional, and creative company!”
